March 9-13

MONDAY

So far today, he has done math. He is starting lesson 16, I think, it's about skip counting by 4s. For the first time since he's been sick, he managed to get both pages done in the 45 minutes of math time.

He has also done French and piano. In French, he did grammar and review lessons. He's starting to redo the lessons if he makes a mistake. That way he gets 100% on them. In piano, he's practiced all of his songs five times. In between each song, he's allowed to play one fun song.

For English, he did spelling, grammar, and writing. In spelling, he wrote out more "ee" words from the list. In grammar, we had our first lesson in diagramming sentences. I never diagrammed sentences in school myself, so this is new territory for me. In writing, he had to learn the difference between "seen" and "saw" and copy sentences.

TUESDAY

We got our Typer Island subscription sorted out, so he started off the day practicing that. He said he won a game, but I was doing laundry and don't know what that was about.

He also did French. He had to type out short phrases and sentences. He needed help with the words "policier" and "soleil" but other than that he did really well.

In math, he did page 15E and part of F. He's working on skip counting by 4 and review.

In English, he did grammar, writing, and spelling. Spelling was dictation sentences using his spelling words with "ee". Writing was more fill in the blank sentences and then rewrite them. In grammar, we read a passage about bats and he had to write two sentences about it.

WEDNESDAY

He went to science class

THURSDAY

In math he took the lesson 15 test. He got 100%

He did Typer Island and French. I don't know how he did in TI, I know he's making progress and winning some of the games. In French, he did his lesson until he got 100 %.

In grammar, he diagrammed a few more sentences. We also started learning about adjectives and how those are used. In PLL, he had to fill in questions about seasons and rewrite them.

FRIDAY

On Friday, we had a short day because grammy came into town.

We went to PE in the morning. Brenden learned how to hula hoop and how to jump rope. He did better in both than I thought he would.

We came home and he did math. He started lesson 16, which is about multiplying by 4s.

He did Typer Island and French. He does those on his own while I work with the little two, so I don't know exactly how he did, but he said he's doing well.
